our little sydney

Yes, I lay claim to all my little ones whom I have the privilege of watching grow. Sydney is one year old (sniff, sniff). Those of you who have already had a session with me have seen Sydney. She's my album baby. Her newborn session is featured in my album sample. She wasn't even six pounds at that first session...and now just look at our girl; filled with smiles and laughs and just enough attitude that all self-respecting women need!




And a couple from that first sesion...

Okay, I know, that was cheesy. But I couldn't resist. It was the only title that could come to mind for this gaggle of cousins. Seven spunky cousins who had gathered together for one last hurrah before their journeys to various parts of the globe.

And then we were tired.....all of us.

Why do I pay for a gym membership?

When all I have to do is chase after a couple of spit-fires like Alex and Mia for a good workout!

A Business Note

Sorry to ruin all the fun with business stuff and no pictures, but I live to keep you informed!

As of August first, the second bi-annual rate change will occur. I reevaluate rates twice per year and changes are always effective February 1 and August 1.

As of that date, my session fee will be $150 for weekdays and $200 for weekends.

All sessions booked booked by July 31 for August will receive the old session fee rate ($120) and the old portrait pricing. Sessions booked for September or October will receive the old session fee rate, but will be charged the new portrait pricing.

So! I tell you this so that if you have been planning to schedule a session or have a friend who has been gushing over your portraits from a previous session, make sure you get on my calendar soon.

August is a very busy month for me so there are a limited number of sessions available.

I never get tired of this age. They are so filled with such a pure joy and excitement for the simplest of things (in Allie's case, it was the joy of eating leaves which Mom and Dad weren't quite so joyful about!). I wonder, when is it that we lose that innocence along the way...

Can't you just smell it? That sweet newborn smell? This is Ford. He's actually a California baby, but he took some time out of his busy vacationing schedule for a photo shoot. He was the perfect little model.

a little present just for me!

A blog post for this little guy is long overdue. I met him and his super sweet family two weeks ago. He was just a photographers dream. Just think of it, a two year old who LOVES having his picture taken AND does whatever you ask him to do. This combination is very few and far between. And when I say he loves having his picture taken, I mean it. Every time he heard the shutter click, he'd jump up, run to mom and dad to tell them he JUST HAD HIS PICTURE TAKEN! Then he would run back and sit down right where I had him. After a very busy start to June, he was a little present sent just for me!
